Koraput: Odisha Vigilance sleuths arrested a CDPO and a senior revenue assistant (SRA) in Koraput district for taking bribe from a person on Wednesday.
Namita Rani Paul, CDPO, Bandhugaon and Aswini Kumar Pradhan, SRA, O/o CDPO, Bandhugaon in Koraput have been apprehended by the Vigilance officials while demanding and accepting bribe Rs.40, 000 from a complainant for issue of appointment letter and acceptance of joining report of his daughter as Anganwadi Worker.
The entire bribe money has been recovered and seized from the possession of accused Aswini Kumar Pradhan.
In this connection, Koraput Vigilance P.S case U/s 7 P.C (Amendment)Act, 2018 has been registered. Investigation is in progress against both the accused persons, the Vigilance informed.
