Maharashtra Govt. Imposes 15-day Curfew from 8pm Tomorrow

Mumbai: In the wake of recent surge in the COVID-19 cases, the Maharashtra CM Uddhav Thackrey today imposed Section 144 in the entire state effective from 8 pm on Wednesday, April 14 till 7 am on May 1 to curb down the coronavirus infections..

During the period, the movement will only be allowed for essential services. Public transport will continue for essential service employees.

Similarly, restaurants will be open for home delivery.

Section 144 of the Criminal Procedure Code (CrPC) prohibits the assembly of five people and above in public.

Earlier, the state reported 51,751 new COVID-19 cases and 258 deaths in the last 24 hours.
