Puri: West Bengal Chief Minister Mamata Banerjee today visited the Shree Jagannath Temple in Puri and offered prayer to the Trinity.
The West Bengal CM entered the Srimandir at around 4.30 pm and spent around 30 minutes on the premises of the shrine.
Mamata offered prayers to Lord Jagannath and his siblings for world peace and harmony.
Speaking to media, She said, “I am a devotee of Lord Jagannath and worship him at home daily. I prayed to the Lord for world peace. It is good for everyone when there is no violence and conflict.”
When asked on the violence over Citizenship Amendment Act (CAA) in Delhi, Mamata said “We want peace, not bloodshed.”
