Bhubaneswar: The Crime Branch team investigating the murder of Manas Swain, a cameraman of a local web channel, will interrogate the workers of Dayal Ashram here.
According to reports, a five-member team of the Crime Branch led by DSP Kalpana Sahoo has reached the Ashram.
The team will grill the lead caretaker of the Ashram, Dilip Khataie, and other people associated with the Ashram, reports added.
Earlier, the Crime Branch team visited the kidnapping spot at Palaspur village under Chandbali police limits in Bhadrak district.
The team has interacted with the SDPO, IIC Chandbali and other police officials in Bhadrak regarding the case.
Notably, Manas Swain was kidnapped from Bhadrak on February 6 and brought to Dayal Ashram, an old age home, run by the prime accused Sarmistha Rout in Bhubaneswar, where he was assaulted physically. Later, on March 12, the body of Swain was recovered from Badhipatna hills in Rajsunakhala area of Nayagarh, the police said earlier.
