Bhubaneswar: The intensity of heat is constantly increasing in Odisha with Malkangiri district recording the highest temperature of the State at 40.2 degree Celsius.
According to the Indian Meteorological Department, Angul is the second hottest place in the state with 39.5 degree Celsius followed by Bolangir at 38.5 degree Celsius.
The maximum temperature in Cuttack was recorded 37 degree Celsius.
The month of April will be much hotter than normal, the IMD predicts.
The heat wave conditions are likely to prevail over some parts of the state for next few days, it added.
