Sundargarh: Aligned with the objectives of ‘Mo Sarkar’ and 5T, a dedicated call center has been inaugurated at the District Collectorate, Sundargarh, to directly connect and interact with the beneficiaries of different government schemes.
The state of the art call center with well trained manpower will help the district administration in ensuring that the benefits of different welfare programs and schemes reach the target population. Moreover, it will also support the administration in delivering emergency services.
Set up with the financial support from District Mineral Fund, the Call Center was inaugurated by District Collector Nikhil Pavan Kalyan on Thursday. Speaking on the initiative, Collector Nikhil Pavan Kalyan said “The spirit of 5T and Mo Sarakar is being taken forward by enabling feedback mechanism through the call centre in which we will touch all the field staff and functionaries to follow up on effective service delivery, especially WCD and Health. We will first focus on pregnant woman tracking and to reduce stunting and low weight of children”.
The call center, having toll- free number 01141182138, will remain open from 9AM to 6PM all days of the week and efforts are on to make it operational 24*7. The call centre will engage the target beneficiaries through Tele-calls, SMSs, recorded voice message and emails. Largely, it will serve the purpose of sharing and receiving information, creating awareness, giving follow up advice and expediting grievance redressal.
The call center will also contact all the government functionaries, including the field staff and office staff to ensure timely delivery of the services provided.
The call center is going to address seamless implementation of different government programs including delivery of health services, mother and child care, livelihood, rural housing, pension & other social security schemes.
