Mithali Raj Becomes First Indian Women Cricketer to Score 10k International Runs

Lucknow: Mithali Raj has scripted history on Friday by becoming the first Indian female cricketer and second internationally to complete 10,000 runs across all formats.

The India women’s team captain joins England’s Charlotte Edwards in the elite club.

The veteran batswoman achieved the feat with a boundary off Anne Bosch in the 28th over of India’s innings during the third ODI against South Africa here.

The 38-year-old Mithali reached the milestone on her 212th ODI for India.

Cricket legend Sachin Tendulkar has congratulated Mithali for the feat.
