National Monuments Authority Gives Nod To Reception Center Under Puri Heritage Corridor Project

Bhubaneswar: In an important development that will further accelerate the works related to the Puri Sri Jagannath Temple Heritage Corridor Project, the National Monuments Authority has given its No Objection Certificate to the construction of the Reception Center. It has paved the way for the construction of the Reception Center in the regulated zone of the Sri Jagannath Temple under the ambitious Heritage Corridor Project.

According to reports, the meeting chaired by NMA Chairman Sachchidanand Joshi approved the proposal for the construction of the Reception Center at a distance of 101.5 meters from the Jagannath Temple. It will be built with a height limit of 7.5 meters and will have ground plus one storey.

Further, according to the NOC issued by the NMC, toilets for male and female visitors, Cloak room, mini clock room, shelter pavilion, toilets for Sevayatas and electrical room will be built inside the Prohibited area. Likewise, no objection has been granted for an additional toilet for the Sevayatas and a clock rook near the Paschima Dwara of the Temple.

The NMA NOC also approves the construction of the Temple Office which will be of 7.5 meters height. Along with this, the Bada Chatta Matha and the Chauni Matha will be renovated. The Information Center, Donation Cell, First Aid Center, Police Service Center, and ATM will come up in the regulated zone.
