Bhubaneswar: Chief Minister Naveen Patnaik has expressed his profound grief over the death of noted Odia film music director Jalal Adeni, who passed away on Monday after a cardiac arrest at his residence in Buxi Bazar area of Cuttack.
ବିଶିଷ୍ଟ ସଙ୍ଗୀତ ତଥା ଚଳଚ୍ଚିତ୍ର ନିର୍ଦ୍ଦେଶକ ଜଲାଲ ଆଡେନିଙ୍କ ଦେହାନ୍ତ ବିଷୟରେ ଜାଣି ମୁଁ ଦୁଃଖିତ। ‘ହୀରା ମୋତି ମାଣିକ’, ‘ଅନୁପତାପ’ ଆଦି ଚଳଚ୍ଚିତ୍ରରେ ସେ ଛାଡି ଯାଇଥିବା ଛାପ ସର୍ବଦା ସ୍ମରଣୀୟ। ତାଙ୍କ ଅମର ଆତ୍ମାର ସଦଗତି କାମନା ସହ ଶୋକସନ୍ତପ୍ତ ପରିବାରବର୍ଗଙ୍କୁ ମୋର ସମବେଦନା ଜଣାଉଛି।

Born on June 23, 1936, at Bhanjanagar in Ganjam district Jalal did his engineering from Jadavpur Engineering College in West Bengal after completing his schooling and intermediate from Berhampur.
Jalal had a passion for acting and music right from his childhood. He left his job in railways and made directing, acting, producing his profession.
He directed and produced an Odia movie–Hira Moti Manika– in 1981. He is also known for his works in films like ‘Pujarini’ and ‘Basanti Apa’.
“Nida Bhara Ratti, Mu Tukaku Bhalla Pae Luchi Luchi ka”, in Odia film Anutap are his all time hits.
He was 85.
