Bhubaneswar: Odisha Chief Minister Naveen Patnaik has condoled the passing away of Padma Shri awardee scientist and Director of Institute Of Life Sciences (ILS), Bhubaneswar Ajay Parida.

Parida died of a heart attack at Guwahati. He had gone to Guwahati to attend a conference. He was 58 years old.
He is a native of Jajpur District and was conferred the Padma Shri in 2014 for his contribution to the field of Science and Technology.
Earlier, he had also worked with the M S Swaminathan Research Foundation Chennai.
