Bhubaneswar: Odisha Chief Minister Naveen Patnaik today expressed deep grief and condoled the demise of former Congress MLA Bijaya Kumar Nayak, who breathed his last at a private hospital here today. He was 70.
The Odisha CM took to Twitter handle and wrote:
ଜଗତସିଂହପୁର ଜିଲ୍ଲା ଏରସମାର ପୂର୍ବତନ ବିଧାୟକ ବିଜୟ କୁମାର ନାୟକଙ୍କ ଦେହାନ୍ତ ବିଷୟରେ ଜାଣି ମୁଁ ଦୁଃଖିତ। ତାଙ୍କ ଅମର ଆତ୍ମାର ସଦଗତି କାମନା କରିବା ସହିତ ଶୋକସନ୍ତପ୍ତ ପରିବାରବର୍ଗଙ୍କ ପ୍ରତି ମୋର ସମବେଦନା ଜଣାଉଛି।

Nayak was born in Gobindapur village under Erasama block of Jagatsinghpur district. He was elected to the Odisha Legislative Assembly from Erasama constituency as a Congress candidate in 1995 and served as a legislator till 2000.
