Bhubaneswar: Chief Minister Naveen Patnaik today inaugurated the newly set up Plasma Bank in IGH Hospital, Rourkela through video conferencing.
Speaking on the occasion, the CM said, “After successful trials in Cuttack and Bhubaneswar, today we are inaugurating the third plasma therapy facility in the state. IGH, Rourkela has a task of great responsibility as public expectations are high”.
The plasma bank will support Plasma therapy for the treatment of serious Covid-19 patients.
Odisha is the third state in the country to start plasma therapy treatment for Covid-19 patients and has already registered good results from this.
With today’s inauguration, the number of Plasma Banks has increased to three in the State.
Earlier, the CM launched one each plasma bank at SCB Medical, Cuttack & Capital Hospital, Bhubaneswar.
