Naveen Launches Adani-Kiss Residential School; Inaugurates Projects Worth 250 Crore In Mayurbhanj

Baripada: Chief Minister Naveen Patnaik today inaugurated the state of the art Adani-Kiss Residential School in Bankisola near Baripada. The school is having an intake capacity of 1500 students. This will exclusively cater to the tribal students. The school is being sponsored by the Adani Group.

Speaking on the occasion, the Chief Minister said empowerment and real transformation can only be achieved through education. Others present on the occasion included KISS and KIIT founder Dr. Achyuta Samanta, Dr. Priti Adani, Chairperson Adani Foundation Mayurbhanj Member of Parliament Biswesar Tudu and other distinguished guests. While inaugurating the School, Naveen said that more than 6 lakh tribal students are studying in over 6500 schools of Odisha. The government has also established tribal hostels in urban areas where English medium teaching is being provided. Due to the proactive developmental policies of the government, tribal students of the state are performing well in national level.

The Chief Minister also dedicated to the people projects worth 50 crore in Mayurbhanj District. Also, he laid foundation stone for various projects worth 200 crore that included drinking water, road and bridges. During his visit, Naveen has said that the government will take steps to develop Khiching, Debakunda and other tourist places.
