Bhubaneswar: In a major decision, the Odisha Government has announced that the Odisha Civil Services (OCS) aspirants can now write the examination papers in Odia.
The General Administration Department wrote a letter to the Odisha Public Service Commission (OPSC) in this regard.
The decision was taken by the government following a proposal by the Institute of Odia Studies and Research (OSRC).
The preliminary, main, and interview of the State Civil Services Examination will now be conducted in both English and Odia. The question papers of the examinations will be set both in Odia and English and the aspirants can opt for one of either language while writing their papers, as per the decision.
The ensuing OCS preliminary examination, which is scheduled to be held on October 16, will be conducted in both English and Odia languages.
