Bhubaneswar: As many as 19 persons were arrested for allegedly violating COVID-19 guidelines in Odisha, Police said on Tuesday.
As part of its ongoing COVID enforcement drive, the State Police has taken action against violators of mask usage, social distancing and lockdown rules.
In the last 24 hours, the cops have registered five cases, arrested 18 people, seized 217 vehicles and collected fine of Rs. 21,68,550.
“From morning of 7.6.2021 to morning of 8.6.2021, 5 cases regd, 19 people arrested, 217 vehicles seized, Rs. 21,68,550/- fine collected by Odisha Police for violation of COVID-19 guidelines. Stay protected from Corona. There is no room for carelessness until there is a treatment”, the State Police tweeted.
