Bhubaneswar: In a tragic incident, at least three workers working in a septic tank in Pandara area under Mancheswar police station have been killed on Friday.
The deceased were identified as Samir Munia, Basudev Mandal and Bhiguram Mandal. They all hailed from West Bengal.
According to reports, one of the deceased persons first entered the under construction septic tank. However, he did not return for a long time. Later another labourer entered the tank followed by the third labourer.
“Prima facie it appeared that the victims died in suffocation. We rushed to the spot and rescued the victims with fire personnel. We rushed them to the nearest hospital where they were declared received dead,” said a police official.
