Odisha-Born Bureaucrat Girish Chandra Murmu Appointed as Jammu-Kashmir Lieutenant Governor

Bhubaneswar: In a significant development, Odisha-born Bureaucrat Girish Chnadra Murmu has been appointed as the Lieutenant Governor of Jammu-Kashmir. 

Murmu, graduated from Utkal University in Political Science, served as Principal Secretary to Narendra Modi while he was the Chief Minister of Gujarat, Murmu was born in Mayurbhanj district.

He holds a Business Administration degree from the Birmingham University, and Widely known as one of the most trusted serving bureaucrats in the Union Government.

meanwhile Odisha Chief Minister Naveen Patnaik has congratulated Murky after his appointment. In his twitter handle Naveen wished him best of luck.
