New Delhi: The Union Home Ministry today approved the appointment of 1993-batch Odisha cadre IPS Officer Susant Kumar Nath to the post of Inspector General, Border Security Force (BSF) on deputation basis against the existing vacancy.
Susant Kumar Nath’s appointment is for a period of five years from the date of assumption of the charge of the post, or until further orders, whichever is earlier, the Ministry said in a letter to the Odisha Chief Secretary.
The Ministry has also requested the Odisha Government to relieve the IPS officer to enable him to take up his new assignment at the Centre.
