Bhubaneswar: With the Reserve Bank of India easing the regulations with regard to withdrawal of money by the states from the Consolidated Sinking Fund, Odisha government can now withdraw about 2500 crore rupees.
The Reserve Bank of India had taken a decision to allow states to withdraw additional amount from the CSF in view of the financial constraints due to Covid-19 Pandemic. This will help the state not to borrow from open market for additional funds.
Earlier, the state had a provision to withdraw an amount of 700 crore from the fund but after the regulations were eased, Odisha can now withdraw 2500 crore in the present financial year.
