Odisha CM Condoles Death of Sitaram Yechury’s Son Ashish Yechury in COVID-19
Bhubaneswar: Odisha Chief Minister Naveen Patnaik has condoled the death of CPI (M) General Secretary Sitaram Yechury’s son Ashish Yechury in COVID-19.
“Deeply saddened to know the passing away of CPI (M) General Secretary Sitaram Yechury’s son Ashish Yechury in #COVID19. My condolences to the family during this hour of grief and wish the bereaved family has courage to overcome the irreparable loss”, the Chief Minister tweeted.

Ashish Yechury, the elder son of CPI(M) general secretary Sitaram Yechury died due to Covid-19 on Thursday morning.
Sitaram Yechury took to Twitter to inform about it.
“It is with great sadness that I have to inform that I lost my elder son, Ashish Yechury to Covid-19 this morning. I want to thank all those who gave us hope and who treated him – doctors, nurses, frontline health workers, sanitation workers and innumerable others who stood by us,” he wrote on Twitter.
