Odisha CM Congratulates Veteran Actress Asha Parekh on Being Selected for Dadasaheb Phalke Award

Bhubaneswar: Odisha Chief Minister Naveen Patnaik has congratulated veteran actress Asha Parekh on being selected to be conferred with the prestigious Dadasaheb Phalke Award.
In a Twitter post, Naveen said that as an elegant and graceful actress, Asha Parekh has immensely contributed to the growth of Indian Cinema.

“Congratulate veteran actress Asha Parekh Ji on being selected to be conferred with the prestigious Dadasaheb Phalke Award. As an elegant and graceful actress, she has immensely contributed to the growth of Indian Cinema. Wish her a healthy & long life”, the Odisha CM tweeted.


Veteran Bollywood actor Asha Parekh has been selected for the Dadasaheb Phalke award 2020, the Ministry of Information and Broadcasting announced Tuesday. The award will be presented at the National Film Awards ceremony to be held in New Delhi on Friday.

Asha Parekh is a renowned film actress, director and producer and an accomplished classical dancer. Starting her career as a child actor, she made her debut in Dil Deke Dekho, and has acted in over 95 movies since, including Kati Patang, Teesri Manzil, Love in Tokyo, Aya Saawan Jhoom Ke, Aan Milo Sajna and Mera Gaon Mera Desh.
