Odisha CM Shows Solidarity with Bereaved Families of Migrant Workers Killed in Guntur Electrocution

Bhubaneswar: Odisha Chief Minister Naveen Patnaik has shown his solidarity with the bereaved families of the Odia migrant workers, who were killed in electrocution in Andhra Pradesh.

The Chief Minister on Sunday sent Odisha-Mo Parivar convenor Arup Patnaik to Gunupur to meet the families of the deceased workers.

Gunupur MLA Raghunath Gomango also went to the site.
Odisha-Mo Parivar has arranged for the return of the family members from Guntur.

Chief Minister Naveen Patnaik had expressed his profound grief over the loss of lives in the electrocution.

Earlier on Saturday, the CM sanctioned an ex-gratia of Rs 2 lakh each for the next of the kin of the deceased migrant workers from the Chief Minister’s Relief Fund.

The Chief Minister also conveyed his sympathies to the bereaved families of the workers.

As many as six migrant workers from Odisha were killed in an electrical short circuit at a prawn hatchery in Repalle of Guntur district in Andhra Pradesh.
