Bhubaneswar: Odisha Chief Minister Naveen Patnaik today urged all to remain prepared in advance to face any natural disaster effectively during monsoon.
Chairing the state-level natural disaster management committee meeting here today, the Chief Minister said, “Our State is prone to multiple and recurring natural disasters. Despite being so vulnerable to different natural disasters, we are well prepared to face any situation”.
“The period from June to October is a crucial period of the year. During the period, natural calamities like draught, flood and cyclone may occur. We have to review our preparedness for the disaster”, the CM said.
The CM directed all the departments to follow the time-tested SOP (Standard Operating Procedure) to mitigate the natural disaster.
The Chief Minister also thanked the people of Odisha for their cooperation in the fight against COVID-19.
