Bhubaneswar: In a major global recognition, the Odisha Government’s Capital Region Urban Transport (CRUT) has bagged the 2022 United Nations Public Service Awards in the category of “Promoting gender-responsive public services to achieve the SDGs” for the initiative “Mo Bus”.
“We’re elated to announce that CRUT got the 2022 United Nations Public Service Awards in the category of “Promoting gender-responsive public services to achieve the SDGs” for the initiative “Mo Bus”, the CRUT said.
Dipti Mahapatro, GM, CRUT has received the award in a virtual event on June 22.
The award recognises the achievements and contributions of public service institutions that lead to a more effective and responsive public administration in countries worldwide.
Chief Minister Naveen Patnaik has congratulated the CRUT for the award.
In a Twitter post, the CM said, “By employing women & transgenders, CRUT has set a precedent in gender equality”.
