Bhubaneswar: The Odisha Government has achieved 100% piped water supply connection to households in 32 ULBs in the State.
Realizing the dream of Chief Minister Naveen Patnaik to provide safe drinking water to every household in the State, 32 cities have achieved 100% house connections, said the Housing & Urban Development (HUD)Department.
A multi-member committee involving community representatives and Collector’s representatives have validated after conducting field verification. It is targeted to achieve 100% house connections in all cities in Odisha by December, 2022, the Department added.
The Chief Minister has congratulated the HUD Department for the achievement stating that this will help people access safe drinking water and immensely benefit the urban households.
