Odisha Govt Assigns Six Senior IAS officers To Supervise Covid Situation In BBSR

Bhubaneswar: With the number of Cornavirus cases increasing steadily in the state capital Bhubaneswar, the Odisha government has assigned six senior bureaucrats to look after the activities in the affected areas. They will be overseeing the sampling of primary and secondary contacts, contact tracing, containment issues, household surveillance, supply of essential commodities and other associated activities related to the management of the Covid situation.

The decision was taken after the review of the pandemic situation by Chief Minister Naveen Patnaik yesterday. According to an order issued by the Chief Secretary, Ranjana Chopra and Bishnupada Sethi will be in charge of the North Zone. Likewise, S K Lohani and Saswat Mishra will be overseeing the activities in the South East Zone of BMC. Ashok K Meena and Bhaskar Jyoti Sharma have been assigned the South West Zone for supervision.
