Bhubaneswar: As the Patkura Assembly seat in Kendrapara district will go to polls tomorrow, the Odisha Government has declared the poll day as a paid holiday for the employees who are voters of the constituency.
The Government has urged the managements of all business, trade, industrial undertakings, shops and commercial establishments to declare the poll day as a paid holiday for their employees in order to facilitate them to exercise their franchise on Saturday.
Besides, all shops, commercial establishments and trade industrial units functioning within the limits of Patkura Assembly Constituency shall be closed on Saturday, an official notification said.
The Election Commission of India has notified the poll schedule on July 20 for election to the assembly seat.
