Bhubaneswar: Recognizing the popularity of the famous folk song ‘Rangabati’ in the State, the Odisha Government has renamed the Bilung village in Sambalpur district as Rangabati Bilung.
Bilung village is the native place of Mitrabhanu Gauntia, lyricist of the famous Rangabati song.
The Disaster and Revenue Management Department has issued an official notification regarding the renaming of the village.
