Odisha Govt Spent Rs 6690 Crore under KALIA Scheme in Last 3 Yrs: Minister

Bhubaneswar: The Odisha Government has sent Rs 6690 under the Krushak Assistance for Livelihood and Income Augmentation or KALIA Scheme in the last three years.

Agriculture and Farmers’ Empowerment Minister Arun Sahoo told the Assembly on Wednesday.

In reply to a question, the Minister said Rs 2175.66 crore was spent as financial assistance for the benefit of 51.05 lakh marginal and landless farmers in the State.

A sum of Rs 3243.1 crore was spent in 2019-20 and Rs 1272.19 core has been spent in the year 2020-21 till February 2021 under the scheme, the Minister added.
