Bhubaneswar: With a view to attract high quality tourism professionals to make Tourism as an engine of economic growth, the State Government in Tourism Department has decided to restructure the Odisha Tourism Service (OTS) Cadre.
A proposal in this regard has been approved at the State Cabinet Meeting, chaired by Chief Minister Naveen Patnaik on Thursday.
Similarly keeping in view the Administrative convenience and for effective management of scattered Tourism destinations, the Government also propose to divide the entire destinations of the state in to Tourism Divisions.
In the process the entire Tourism destinations of the state have been proposed to be divided into 7 Tourism Divisions inside the state and 1(one) destination division to function at National Capital New Delhi(Outside State). Each Tourism Division shall be headed by OTS Cadre Officer in the rank of Joint Director or Deputy Director, according to a press note.
The entire Tourism destinations of 30 Tourism districts shall be kept under these 7 Tourism Divisions for effective management.
