Bhubaneswar: Odisha has emerged as a hub for innovation and IT industries, said State Electronics & Information Technology (E&IT) Minister Tusharkanti Behera here on Friday.
Addressing the sectoral session on ‘IT/ITeS, Data Centers and ESDM’ at the Make in Odisha Conclave 2022, the Minister highlighted how Odisha has become a hub for innovation and IT industries.
Citing the 5T model of the State Government, he said Odisha has greatly augmented its technological abilities.
The E&IT Minister said that integration of innovation and technology has led to good governance, adding that the State Government’s digital governance initiatives have created employment for many.
He further said that the Odisha Government and business are part of a symbiotic relationship.
Addressing the sectoral session, E&IT Department Secretary Manoj Kumar Mishra spoke about technological advancements in IT sector in the State.
Highlighting availability of resources in the State, the E&IT Secretary said the State is revolutionising the skill sector.
He mentioned about the Odisha Government is leveraging technology in different sectors to facilitate various services.
The Secretary cited the School Transformation programme in the education sector that has brought huge transformation in high schools under the 5T framework.
