Bhubaneswar: The MLAs will undergo Covid19 RT-PCR tests ahead of the Monsoon session of the Assembly, which is scheduled to commence from September 1.
A decision in this regard was taken at a meeting presided over by Speaker Surjya Narayan Patro on Thursday.
Besides the legislators, their drivers, personal staff and all workers and staff working in the Assembly will also undergo COVID-19 tests, an official statement said.
The legislators and other employees whose Covid-19 test results will come out negative will be allowed entry into the House, it added.
