Bhubaneswar: With the positive cases of Coronavirus are on rise, the Odisha Government has imposed lockdown in two more towns including Nabarangpur and Umarkote Municipalities.
With this the total number of Municipalitues in lock down raises to 11 today.
Chief Minister Naveen Patnaik had on Saturday announced complete lockdown for five districts-Khurda, Ganjam, Cuttack, Kendrapada and Angul- and nine cities-Balasore, Jajpur, Jajpur Road, Bhadrak, Sambalpur, Jharsuguda, Puri and Rourkela. The Lockdown is being followed in these districts and cities for the second day.
During lockdown period, people have been asked to stay indoors and shops, excepting those selling essential commodities like medicine, grocery, eggs, chicken and vegetables, and malls have been asked for closure. Movement of private vehicles have been restricted. Police have been given power to take action.
