Koraput: A joint team of Koraput District Voluntary Force (DVF) and BDD (Bomb Detection and Disposal) squad busted a Maoist dump in the forest areas near village Pachingi and Balkapai under Narayanpatna Police station jurisdiction and seized huge cache of explosives from the spot, the Koraput Police informed.
Acting on a tip-off, a DVF team along with BDD squad had conducted an anti-Maoist operation in the forest areas of village Pachingi and Balkapai under Narayanpatna PS.
During the operation, the team had seized items, such as one CP Riot gun with sling (CWS 861266), 24 number of 38 mm anti-riot with rubber bullet AFK, 6 number of ORE Gel, Coloum Charge explosives Class-2 Cat-zz, 125 MM x 6.25 KG and a cutting Plier from the dump, the police said.
Meanwhile, Koraput SP Varun Guntupalli has urged the cops to intensify anti-Maoist operations in the district.
