Bhubaneswar: With the number of Covid-19 infections in the state remaining more than 10 thousand for the last few days and the average positivity rate remaining about 20 percent, Odisha can see the peak of infections by next week.
According to health expert Dr Niroj Mishra, Odisha is expected to touch the peak of the infection numbers next week and thereafter see a gradual decrease.
He also said that the lockdown should continue till the positivity rate decreases to ten percent in the state. Decreasing trend is a positive sign but Khordha is witnessing 35 percent positivity rate which is worrisome, e said. Youth need to be vaccinated more and more, he said.
