Bhubaneswar: Odisha’s first public bicycle sharing system ‘Mo Cycle’ completed its first anniversary today.
Chief Minister Naveen Patnaik had launched the public bicycle share service in State capital on November 26 last year.
The Mo Cycle plays a major role in reducing traffic congestion in Bhubaneswar while promoting non-motorized transport in the city.
Operated by Capital Region Urban Transport, the public bicycle sharing system gives access to 2000 Mo Cycles with unique comfortable functional design.
The system is offered by the three private operators: Yulu, Yaana, and Hexi.
The bicycles are equipped with technologies such as the GPS tracking system, cashless transactions through mobile app and smart locks.
