Berhampur: Over 30 houses were gutted in a major fire mishap which broke out in Sunathara village under Purushottampur police limits in Odisha’s Ganjam district on Monday.
Property worth lakhs were lost and several families were rendered homeless in the mishap, according to sources.
The fire erupted from a house in the village early in the morning and later engulfed other nearby houses.
Fire personnel from Purushottampur rushed to the village and doused the flames.
However, the cause behind the mishap is yet to be ascertained.
