Odisha: Six Rourkela UPHCs Get ISO Certification

Rourkela: Bringing laurels to the State, the Rourkela Municipal Corporation (RMC) has bagged the Indian Standard Organization (ISO) certificate for six urban primary health centres (UPHCs).

The RMC received the ISO 9001-2015 certification for quality management system (QMS). The UPHCs are Balughat, DAV (Basanti Colony), Sector-6, Tilkanagar, Koel nagar and Chhend Colony.

“We went for the ISO certification after improving the infrastructure and rendering quality service to the people. The certification is given after auditing of different processes,” RMC commissioner Dibyajyoti Parida said.

He added that the ISO certification recognizes the standard maintained by the hospitals.

100s of patients visit the UPHCs on an average every day. Besides rendering regular services, the hospitals provide treatment for gynaecology, paediatric and dental problems.
