Bhubaneswar: The venue for the state-level Republic Day 2020 celebration here will remain unchanged.
The R-Day celebration will be held at Mahatma Gandhi Marg in the state capital on January 26 next year.
The decision was taken at a high-level meeting on Friday.
The meeting was attended by Home Principal Secretary Sanjeev Chopra, Special Secretary Santosh Bala, Bhubaneswar-Cuttack Commissioner of Police Sudhanshu Sarangi, IG of Police (Personnel) Soumendra Priyadarshi and senior officials in I&PR Department.
Notably, the State Government had shifted the Independence Day celebration from Mahatma Gandhi Marg to the Exhibition Ground this year.
