Bhubaneswar: The Special Task Force of the Odisha Police today arrested one person and seized about 320 grams of Brown Sugar from Jankia in Khordha district. On the basis of reliable information, the STF detected a case of illegal trade of Narcotic Drugs at Orabarsingh-Jatni road under Jankia police station limits in Khordha district. During this, one accused person namely Akhaya Baliarsingh of Orabarsingh was apprehended.
Contraband Brown Sugar weighing 320 grams with other incriminating materials were seized from his possession. A case has been registered at Jankia Police Station for necessary legal action.
Due to sustained drive in 2020, so far the STF alone has seized 23 Kgs 593 s of Brown Sugar including today’s seizure and detected 26 cases including this case against the drug peddlers. So far, the STF has arrested as many as 50 drug peddlers.
