Odisha STF Seizes Leopard Skin in Kandhamal, One Arrested

Bhubaneswar: The Special Task Force (STF) wing of Odisha police today seized a leopard skin and arrested a wildlife criminal in Kandhamal district.

The arrested person has been identified as Bidyadhar Nayak, a resident of Baliguda in Kandhamal.

The STF, with the help of forest officials, seized one illegal leopard skin near Siptiguda village under Baliguda wildlife range.

During the last one year, a special drive against wildlife criminals/poachers have been launched, STF has seized 16 leopard skins, nine elephant tusks, two deer skin, four live pangolins and 15 kg pangolin scales. A total of 33 wildlife criminals have also been arrested, according to reports.
