Odisha to Emerge as Major ESDM Hub in India, Says IT Secy Manoj Mishra

Bhubaneswar: Odisha has all the resources like manpower, infrastructure, academia, and all these can help the State to emerge as a major hub for ESDM (Electronics System Design and Manufacturing) sector, said Manoj Kumar Mishra, Secretary, Electronics & IT Department, Govt of Odisha.

Delivering a special address during the inaugural session of ‘Electrovibes’, a pioneering webinar series on ESDM Sector, Mishra said that Odisha is rich in natural resources, educational institutions, manpower and infrastructure. All these are helping in boosting the electronics sector in the State, he added.

He spoke about the strengths of Odisha to emerge as one of the ESDM hubs of the country.

He pointed about the tangible and intangible influential factors and emphasized on the progressive policy, stable political environment and good governance as enabling factors which would take Odisha to the desired destination for sure.

Sharing his ingenious thoughts on the ESDM industry, the IT Secretary accentuated that there has been a tremendous amount of opportunities for local ESDM manufacturers and we can do wonders in this field as we have done in software field.
