Bhubaneswar: Several parts in Odisha are likely to receive rainfall till February 9, according to the regional centre of the India Meteorological Department (IMD).
The coastal and northern parts of Odisha witnessed light to moderate rainfall today and the similar weather conditions are expected to prevail for the next four days.
On Thursday, light to moderate rain or thundershowers will occur at a few places in coastal Odisha and at one or two places in the interior districts of the state, the IMD predicted.
There will be thunderstorms with lightning at one or two places in Sundargarh, Jharsuguda, Sonepur, Boudh, Angul, Dhenkanal, Keonjhar, Mayurbhanj, Kalahandi, Rayagada, Deogarh, Ganjam and Kandhamal districts on Friday.
The districts such as Keonjhar, Mayurbhanj, Sundargarh, Balasore, Bhadrak, Jajpur, Angul, Dhenkanal, Sambalpur, Jharsuguda, Khurda, Cuttack, Jagatsingpur, Kandhamal, Nayagarh and Balangir will experience thunderstorms with lightning on Saturday.
Similar weather condition is likely to be prevailed at a few places in the districts of north coastal Odisha, Kalahandi, Nabarangpur, Koraput, Rayagada, Gajapati, Kandhamal, Balangir, Nuapada, Angul and Dhenkanal on Sunday.
