Odisha: Truck Rams Into Makeshift Stalls in Sambalpur, Three of a Family Among 4 Killed

Sambalpur: In a tragic incident, four persons, including three members of a family have been killed while many other have injured when a speeding truck rammed into makeshift shops installed at a local fair during Dhanu Jatra festival at Paramanapur under Sasan police limits in Sambalpur district early morning today.

According to reports, the incident took place at around 4.45 am today, when the truck bearing registration number OD35C 6190 was going to Jharsuguda from Sambalpur.

Meanwhile, the deceased have been identified as Md Sayad (40), Md Tayad (35), Waqur Alam (30) and Md Tanis (22). All injured have been admitted to Veer Surendra Sai Institute of Medical Sciences and Research (VIMSAR), Burla for treatment.
