Bhubaneswar: Odisha youth Anshuman Kamila has topped the Indian Economic Service (IES) Examination 2019 conducted by the Union Public Service Commission (UPSC).
The results of IES exam were announced on Saturday with 32 candidates qualifying the prestigious exam.
Anshuman, a resident of Bhubaneswar, completed his AISSCE from DAV Chandrasekharpur, Bhubaneswar in 2011. He did Economics (Hons) at St Stephen’s College in New Delhi and MPhil at Jawaharlal Nehru University (JNU).
His father antosh Kumar Kamila is the former Chief Postmaster General (CPMG) of Odisha and mother Prof Mitali Chinara is eminent Odissi vocalist and professor of Economics at Utkal University, Vani Vihar.
The written IES examination was conducted from June 28 to June 30, 2019 followed by interviews or personality test in December, 2019 and January, 2020.
