Bhubaneswar: The Odisha Government’s ‘New Housing for All Policy 2022’ for urban areas will be formally released on December 3 at the Make in Odisha Conclave 2022 being held at Janta Maidan in the capital city.
The Housing & Urban Development Department has notified the new policy, which promotes PPP projects by allowing 60% of the government land in the project for commercial development along with many attractive features for co-creating housing for all at an affordable cost.
Earlier, the Department had launched the unique app and website-based House Allotment System (HAS) under its ‘Housing for All’ policy.
As part of the initiative, Odisha Urban Housing Mission (OUHM) has developed a transparent and professionally managed web-based software solution as well as an android-based mobile application namely “House Allotment System”.
The key objective of this allotment system is to generate predictability, transparency and ensure social auditing. The system will work on the principle of a continuous process of registration of all those families, who want to avail dwelling units under the Housing for All policy. This application will also help address the challenges of housing in the state by assessing the housing shortage in various cities and plan accordingly.
