Bhubaneswar: The Odisha Hydropower Corporation (OHPC) on Monday urged the Odisha Electricity Regulatory Commission (OERC) to hike power tariff for the consumers in the State.
The OHPC has appealed the Commission to increase power generation tariff to 95.80 paisa per unit for financial year 2020-21 to meet the increased expenditure.
The OERC today commenced public hearing on the pleas of power companies on electricity tariff revision for the year 2020-21.
The hearing will continue till February 14.
On the first day of hearing, the OHPC has appealed the Commission to increase power generation tariff.
