Bhubaneswar: As many as 380 persons have returned to Odisha from “at-risk” countries, where Omicron variant of COVID-19 have been detected.
According to Odisha Public Health Director Dr. Niranjan Mishra, around 156 people have arrived in Odisha on November 29 and 224 people on November 28 from ‘at-risk’ countries.
He said that travellers have to follow mandatory testing protocol and subsequent 7-day quarantine.
The List of the foreign returnees has been submitted to concerned district administrations to take follow-up actions as per the guidelines, he added.
Earlier on Wednesday, Chief Minister Naveen Patnaik held a high-level review meeting and directed senior officials to remain alert and ensure strict enforcement of Covid-19 protocols across the State.
