Onion Prices Likely to Rise Again in Odisha

Bhubaneswar: Onion prices will rise across Odisha again. The price per kilogram may soar nearly Rs 6 to Rs 10, informed Food Supplies and Consumer Welfare Minister Ranendra Pratap Swain.

Odisha doesn’t sufficient onion. Due to adverse rain situations in onion importing states like Andhra Pradesh, Karnataka and Maharashtra, there is surge in onion price in Odisha.

However, the State Government is exploring various options to supply opinions to the people, the Minister.

At present, the price of onion is Rs 65 per kilo in Odisha.
