Police SI Caught Red-Handed Taking Bribe in Jajpur

Jajpur: A sub-inspector (SI) of police in Jajpur district was caught red-handed by the Vigilance for allegedly taking bribe from a person.

The accused SI has been identified as Fakir Mohan Singh of Binjharpur PS.
Singh was apprehended by the vigilance sleuths while he was demanding and accepting bribe of Rs 6000 from a complaint in order to not arrest him in a miscellaneous case and to release him with notice U/s 41 (a) CrPC.

In this connection, a case has been registered against the SI.
Singh’s house searches have been launched at two locations in Binjharpur and Kandarpur(Cuttack) by the anti-corruption officials.
